Let's build your course (and supplemental income)
Hi all!
Alanna and I are back from a 3-week trip to Ireland and ready to get things rolling!
For those of you who are interested in teaching a course:
I will be meeting with course facilitators weekly (that's you) to help them build their courses using our altAcademy Course Builder. If you meet with me, I want to ensure our session best suits your needs and incorporates instructional best practices.
Marketing and Launch:
1. We will begin pulling traffic into the altBeing marketplace and altAcademy community by the end of the year provided our SEO timelines.
2. If your course is already built and ready to launch, you will be among the first course visitors we'll see; which gives you a one-up before more practitioners publish their courses.
3 You allow yourself October to market your course and then launch in November (optional).
I'm happy to give you guidance or be a thought partner on marketing.
Financial outlook and example:
- 10 people in a course, $250/person/course, 4 weeks, -10% transaction fee = $2,250
- Run two courses simultaneously during the month = $4,500
- Consider a Part 1, 2 and 3 for your course that spans three months
- Charge extra for 1-on-1s
This may be a best case scenario, but it's something to aspire to as supplemental income.
Bandwidth:
The following sections of the course builder will be the most time-consuming:
#14-17: Course Introduction
#18: On-demand course outline*
#20: On-demand videos*
#21: On-demand Supporting Resources
#s: Image design - thumbnails, favicon, brand logo and on-demand lesson images
* the most time-consuming
If you want my support, here is the commitment:
1. Email [email protected] a few options for days/times that work for you to meet.
2. Review the altAcademy Course Builder.
3. Create a timeline for completing your course design.
4. Commit to a 10-15 minute weekly check-in after the first session until your course is complete.
5. Finish your course by end of September.
The course builder is self-explanatory, but I'm happy to offer guidance if necessary.
I look forward to our collaboration on this project.
Best,
Jahi
